MUDIT JAIN, MD, FACE, ECNU, CDE
Dr. Mudit Jain is a board certified endocrinologist. He founded the Diabetes & Thyroid Care Center of Excellence in 1999 and is recognized as a leading endocrinologist in Broward County.
Dr. Jain attended medical school at the Sawai Man Singh medical college in Jaipur, India. Soon after getting his MBBS medical degree in 1991, he migrated to the US to get training in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center’s primary care internal medicine residency training program. He then pursued specialization in Endocrinology by completing a clinical and research fellowship at the University of Massachussetts Medical Center, Worcester, MA in 1996. During this period, in addition to undergoing clinical training under the auspices of Dr. Lewis Braverman and his group, he performed basic research on thyroid hormone’s action on brain and authored clinical research on thyroid cancer.
Dr. Jain has maintained his board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism since 1998. He became a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) in 2004. In addition to his training and interest in thyroidology, he has been ECNU certified by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) since 2011. Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) recognizes individuals who have met the highest standards in knowledge and competency in performing neck ultrasounds and ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration biopsies. His passion for empowering diabetics in their self-care has also led him to become a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) in 2013.
After completing his fellowship in endocrinology, Dr. Jain moved to South Florida to be closer to his family and established his private practice in Plantaion in 1999. Dr. Jain maintains active hospital privileges at Westside Regional Medical Center and Broward Health Medical Center. He is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
Dr. Jain strongly believes in motivating patients to take responsibility of their health care and in empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed for this.
He lives with his wife and two children in Plantation. He enjoys tennis and reading in his free time.
